Le messsage d'annulation de surcharge vient de Carnival Corporation qui sont propriétaires de: Carnival Cruise Line, Costa Cruise, Cunar Line, Holland America, Princess Cruise et Seabourn.

Leblanc qui embarque sur Princess le 13 février a confirmé que c'est à partir du 5 février qu'ils annulent la surcharge. Moi, j'ai vérifié avec Carnival Cruise Line qui me dit la même chose. Le message que vous avez lu sur le site de Princess a été écrit par Worlds Leading Cruise Lines, donc Carnival Corp. Vous seriez mieux de vous informer auprès de Princess pour avoir l'heure juste.

Lorsque le problème de date sera règlé, moi qui part à la fin de Février, c est donc dire que je vais recevoir un crédit à bord en américain alors que j ai payé ma croisière en canadien, ce qui est avantageux pour nous maintenant. Si j ai bien compris la situation.

Announcement: FUEL SUPPLEMENT UPDATE
As fuel prices continue to decline, Carnival Corporation has announced that it will suspend fuel supplements for its six North American brands, including Princess Cruises, for all voyages departing on or after December 17, 2008.

For these sailings, a refund of the fuel supplement will be made in the form of a shipboard credit for all bookings within the final payment period. All bookings outside of the final payment period will be adjusted to remove the fuel supplement, and passengers will be provided with a revised final payment amount.

The company reserves the right to re-instate the fuel supplement for all passengers at up to $9 per person per day if the NYMEX oil price exceeds $70 per barrel even if the fare has already been paid in full.

Pour ma croisière de février 2009 avec Princess, j'ai eu un e-mail de Princess (car j'ai réservé ma croisière directement avec eux) pour m'informer que j'avais un crédit à brod. Je n'ai pas eu à faire d'appel ou de suivis, le tout à été fait vrendredi le 4 décembre.

Youhou!!! j'avais recu un mail pour les promotions de l'agence avec qui je fais affaire et dedans ceci était indiqué :

Next we heard from Carnival Corporation that all of the company's brands -- Carnival, Costa, Cunard, Holland America, Princess and Seabourn -- would suspend fuel surcharges for new bookings on all voyages departing on or after December 17, 2008.

Existing bookings for departures on or after December 17 that are within final payment period (60 to 90 days before departure, depending on the cruise line) will have fuel surcharges refunded in the form of onboard credit. Bookings outside of this period will be adjusted to remove fuel surcharges from the final payment amounts.

J'ai écris un mail a mon agente et TADAAAAAAA un beau 154$ US de crédit a bord que j'aurai pour ma croisière partant le 4 janvier! Je suis vraiment contente, c'est un bon montant de moins a payer. Youppi!!!
