Jacques

Royal_Caribbean_Host: Thanks for your question. Alice is not here yet. Hang in there. We will begin promptly at 10AM.

Royal_Caribbean_Host: Hello and thank you all for being here. We are now joined by our very special guest, Royal Caribbean International's Senior Vice President, Marketing, Alice Norsworthy. To submit a question, type it in the space below and then click "Ask the Guest." We'll get to as many as we can. There are a ton of great questions so let's begin.

JoseColombia: Congratulations for this innovation
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: Thank you Jose, we are very proud of this new ship as well as the rest of our fleet.

tadd: What is your favorite thing about this new ship?
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: Since I have a 6 year old daughter, I am looking forward to exploring the Boardwalk and riding the carousel. But I am also looking forward to a quiet night strolling Central Park with my husband. And having a slice of pizza in Sorrentos on the Royal Promenade...Wow, I guess I can't choose!

RoyalGirl: When will deck plans be available for the Oasis?
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: Hello RoyalGirl! Deck plans will be printed in the Caribbean brochure which will be in market in September. They will also be online before we are open for sale in September.

bentay: When will you release the rest of the neighboorhood features?
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: We will release additional information on Oasis of the Seas in the next several months. Stay Tuned!!

Jovis: Can a guest in a wheelchair have access to all public areas? Thank you
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: Yes, we are very pleased to offer a great cruise experience to our guests in wheelchairs including access to public areas onboard Oasis of the Seas.

TaymiMiami: Destination Information?
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: This is another popular question. December 2009 through April 2010 we will do a 7 night Eastern Caribbean itinerary round trip form Fort Lauderdale calling on Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, Philipsburg, St. Maarten and Nassau, Bahamas. In May we will alternate 7 night Eastern and Western itineraries both roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale. The Western itinerary calling on Ladadee, Haiti, a new port in Jamaica called Falmouth and Cozumel, Mexico.

sweetandsassy: I first would like to say that Oasis of the Seas is beautiful and very innovative. RCCL has really out done themself this time. But my question is concerning the stability of the ship due to how open it is. I would like to hear Royal Caribbean talk about the safety plan for their passengers in case of emergencies (ie,storms, evacuations wind factor). I would like to also know can you give us some idea of the starting price for an interior room with a view of one of the neighborhoods. Thanks in advance for any information you can reveal to us Loyal to Royal fans.
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: Oasis was designed and built to exceed the highest safety standards required by the International Maritime Organization, the United Nations’ agency responsible for maritime safety and environmental preservation. Combining cutting-edge design and technology, it greatly advances shipboard systems.
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: The ship’s safety features also represent the collective wisdom of a fully-engaged Maritime Safety Advisory Board, which we appointed in 2006 to specifically advise us on Oasis.

JamesMaryland: When will bookings start?
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: Many people have asked the same question. We will open for reservation on September 3, 2008.

Brian8577: Will the pricing be close to what we are use to paying now?
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: We are not ready with the pricing but will have it soon.

RobertWolf: Other than the "loft suite" (which looks incredible!), what other innovations will there be within the balcony and oceanview cabins?
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: We are very excited about the array of new stateroom categories- you may have seen on the videos- our Central Park View balconies have a great view overlooking Central Park as well as Boardwalk View balconies- with a view of Boardwalk and view of the ocean to the aft of the ship. We also have a new suite called- AquaTheater Suite-you'll have a private balcony for all the excitement happening in the AquaTheater. We also have array of Family suites and staterooms Finally, we will have a variety of oceanview, inside and accessible staterooms.

G-110003133: How does Royal Caribbean plan to handle the crowd congestion at the "hot spots" on the ship, like the Rising Tide Bar?Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: There are lots of hot spots on Oasis of the Seas! Because the ship has so many neighborhoods with food and entertainment catering to different mindsets, our hope is that guests will spread to different areas organically based on their mood. We are also carefully planning the schedules on the ship to ensure that there are always a multitude of activities offered for everyone. Finally, there will be digital and hard signage so guests can easily navigate around the ship.

coolsky: will there be a third or even a fourth project Genesis class vessel(s) for the future?
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: At this point we only have 2 Oasis-class ships on order - Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas, but who knows what can happen in the future.

Foffie232: How will the space in the AquaTheater transform at night? Specifically, if the area is a public pool area during the day, with lounge chairs, what kind of seating will there be at night for the shows performed there?
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: You'll find this very interesting. We will have very unique chairs which can convert from reclining sun lounge chairs by day, to fully upright stadium seating by night. Other "transformations" include: water show programming (day = passive; night = active), plus large screen tv programming, in-water lifting platforms which convert from standard pool bottom depth during day, to become ultra deep diving pool at night (17.9 ft), night lighting and sound, etc

my4luvs: how much more expensive will the rooms be? they are beautiful! are they all going to be fancy or are there still going to be affordable rooms?
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: I just answered a question a little while ago about the stateroom and suites onboard...we will have 37 categories on this ship- leaving an option for everyone!

RoyalGirl: Will the casino be larger than the Freedom Class ships?
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: That is a great question, and if you stay tuned, you will here much more about other areas onboard in the next couple months....

G-110478885: Is there any plans to make bigger ships then oasis and allure in the future?
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: As our Chairman, Richard Fain has said in the past, we don't set out to build the largest ships, but based on guest feedback we continue to add options and features to enhance the experience.

rcclcarib: Thanks so much Mrs. Norsworthy for being so involved with such a fantastic project. My questions is, Will there be pools on the top deck besides the Solarium at the front of the ship?
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: Again, another great question.... you'll have to stay tuned during the next couple months to find out about the rest of the neighborhoods.

jafhere: How can my wife and I get on the first "regular" cruise of Oasis destined initial intinerary? Is there a priority list for former cruisers?
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: We will be sending information to our Crown & Anchor members regarding the reservation process soon.

Bobcat: Will this ship be cruising in Alaska? Also, I have cruised only once and the staff at RC was the best in the world - thank you.
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: Thank you for the compliment, we are very proud on our onboard staff too, they work incredibly hard to deliver a great vacation to all onboard. As mentioned before, this ship will sail to the Eastern and Western Caribbean.

G-110478885: Will oasis of the seas feature any amusment park rides other then the caresel.
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: The carousel is the highlight of the Boardwalk area of the ship. I can't yet talk about the details of the rest of the ship, but I can say that there will be plenty of other exhilerating features that will get your heart going.

Submariner: One last ???????? The Aqua theater --- only weather permiting?
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: The beauty of the AquaTheater is that it is an open air space so, in cases of inclement weather, we'll provide activities in other areas of the ship.

cruiser: this thing isnt really real is it. there's no way
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: I know it's hard to believe, but yes it's real. Believe me, we pinch ourselves everyday! We are very excited with all the new features bringing vacationing to a new level, but more importantly, with our people who actually bring the ship to life.

Michelle: Do you have family accommodations onboard?
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: Yes, Oasis of the Seas will feature several new family accommodations including the Presidential Family Suite which sleeps 14; the Family Suite which sleeps six and the AquaTheater Suite which sleeps six as well as multiple connecting staterooms.

Roe: What is a zip line?
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: A zip line is best described as a pulley suspended on a cable. The zip line is designed to allow the guest to propell by gravity nine decks across the top of the Boardwalk. This is for those that are looking for an adventure.

G-110478885: Do you think that the ship is able to support the 6000 people onbeard without is feeling crowded.
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: The beauty of creating multiple neighborhoods onboard is that we have multiple venue choices for our guests. At the same time, the larger venues have been scaled up to accommodate more people so everyone has ample space.

MilwaukeeED: We love your boats! We take the kids with us and they are high school age. They will have to have a basketball court and at least a second pool to get away from us. This ship looks like your best one for my wife and I, now could you sell it to my KIDS?
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: I believe once your family hears about all the features of the ship, they will be sold. Even now, they already have the zip line and the AquaTheater to get them excited. We plan on revealing more about the kids' areas later in the summer.

coolnrj: Will C&A members get an "early invite" to book on Oasis like there was on the Freedom maiden sailing??
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: A communication to Crown and Anchor Society members will be going out soon detailing the booking process and availability.

dogloverCalifornia: are animals allowed? are there dog services available?
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: I too am a dog lover and would love to bring my labs with me! Unfortunately, though, only service animals are allowed onboard any of our ships.

cherineworleans: are they going to be doing real tattoos on the ship or airbrush ones???
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: There is will a tattoo/psychic parlor called Madame Zamara's in the Boardwalk, they will be air brushed tattoos.

smoothsailingfll: Will these ships also have an adults only pool area?
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: Hi smoothsailingfll! I'd love to give you the answer, but we haven't released information about the pool areas onboard Oasis yet. Stay tuned to Oasisoftheseas.com for more information!

BrandonMinnesota: What are your plans for the dining room? Where in the ship will it be and how big?
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: I'm sorry I can't answer some of these questions outright.. but we are saving some of the reveals for later this summer and early fall. Again, stay tuned!

G-110877160: Will the Oasis of the Seas have easily accessible handicap setting throughout the ship?
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: Great question. Yes, accessibility has been incorporated throughout the entire ship including staterooms in all categories.

Michelle: Will the loft suites be in the concierge class level?
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: The Loft Suites will include access to our Concierge lounge and services.

submariner: Could you post the cabin arrangements on line?
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: We will have deck plans available to guests once we open for reservations- September 3, 2008.

G-110478885: If the back of the ship is open to the boardwalk, the what hapens when it rains.
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: Part of the beauty of the Boardwalk is that it is an open air space and therefore open to the elements. But don't worry. If it rains there are plenty of other spaces to enjoy.

dogloverCalifornia: what kind of shows are going to be in the aquatheater? the stage seems awfully small for any kind of real entertainment.
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: The AquaTheater is the first of its kind at sea. At night the space will be transformed into a performance venue which feature dramatic acrobatics, synchronized swimming, water ballet and professional high-diving performances. There is ample space to execute wonderful performances.

debi: Will the loft suites be accessable with my wheelchair?
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: Thanks for asking. Yes, there will be an accessable Loft Crown Suite.

Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: The Royal Promenade will have a Sorrentos Pizzeria, Mondo Coffee Bar, Cafe Promenade, Rising Tide Bar, Globe and Atlas Pub, Schooner Bar, Boleros, Champagne Bar, 4 shops, a photo gallery and A Close Shave men's salon.

Royal_Caribbean_Host: If you're just joining us, Royal Caribbean International's Senior Vice President, Marketing, Alice Norsworthy is answering your questions live. Bunny1959: Will this class of ship be as smooth and comfortable in choppy seas?
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: Thanks for asking. All Royal Caribbean ships have had greater maneuverability since we introduced pod propulsion on our ships in 1999. Oasis of the Seas takes that advantage one step further by having 3 steerable pods and 4 bow thrusters. This is a first for us and and innovation we'll be looking at in future new builds.

BEACHCAT: WHERE WILL THE CAROUSEL BE?
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: The Carousel will be located on the Boardwalk.

G-111583016: Is this ship expected to be complete by year end 2009?
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: Yes, as I've mentioned, the ship will be ready to sail by the end of 2009. We're so excited!

Anigma: Will the ship have all the regular features of the old ones (eg. indoor large theatre, windjammer cafe, etc.)? Or is it a totally new ship? Also will it be larger than the Freedom of the Seas?

Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: Yes, there will be inside, outside, and balcony staterooms. Actually, there will be a total of 37 stateroom categories to choose from.

Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: Great questions. Thanks for coming to the chat. Oasis of the Seas is the first ship in the Genesis Class of ships. So, yes, it is the same. Oasis of the Seas begins sailing in December 2009. As for bookings, we'll be open for bookings this September.

Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: You're a clever one! I haven't said that there would be a flowrider. More will be released on the pools and sports decks later in the month.

G-111178424: Is Ken Rush going to be the cruise director on Oasis? When will we be able to book a cruise on the Oasis? What will be the itineries on the ship?

Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: All the neighborhoods were created and designed with a global view. For example, the Boardwalk was designed keeping in mind Coney Island, but also the boardwalks that are well-known in England and throughout the world.

G-111678042: What is the capacity of the outdoor theater?
Royal_Caribbean_Alice_Norsworthy: The AquaTheater seats 600 guests.
